Description We are in search of a Medical Data Entry Clerk in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, 48858, United States. This role involves the management of health information and patient medical records in the healthcare sector. The individual will be tasked with maintaining and updating records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Administer the collection, tracking, and reconciliation of patient medical record information post-discharge

• Serve as an information resource by responding to requests for general and medical record information received via various communication channels

• Retrieve records upon request for patient care, studies, committees, and other requests, collaborating with other departments as necessary

• Prep, assemble, scan, index, and file records for document storage and/or imaging following facility guidelines

• Analyze patient charts for physician deficiencies according to facility guidelines/bylaws and assist with physician chart completion and suspension processes

• Validate chart deficiencies and communicate with Providers regarding their incomplete records

• Assist with distribution of reports, letters, and statistics related to delinquent medical records

• Access and manage the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system to support record completion, coding, release of information and overall management and maintenance of the legal health record

• Perform data collection and submission of information for birth certificate filing Requirements • Must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in the medical field.

• Proficiency in using Cerner Technologies is required.

• Competency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is necessary.

• Must have a good understanding and experience of billing functions in the medical industry.

• Experience in claim administration is a must.

• Must be adept at using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

• Knowledge and experience in managing medical records are essential.
