As a Director of Developer Learning Insights in Worldwide Learning, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of developer education. Leveraging your managerial experience and deep expertise about professional and next generation developers globally, you will drive a unified Microsoft approach to create and land comprehensive and engaging learning content for developers around the world. You will hone your cross-company leadership capabilities while collaborating with multiple organizations across Microsoft to scale effectively. You will grow your people leadership skills as you establish a new and high-performing team. This role is flexible in that you will be able to partner with your manager to define the way that you’d like to work, whether that is in the office or from home. You will travel to Redmond (if not Redmond-based) and around the world for internal and external meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and grow a team of talented individuals dedicated to shaping the future of developer education through deep audience insights, thought leadership, and a relentless pursuit of experimentation and innovation.

  • Oversee the development and execution of innovative content and partnership strategies that resonate with developer communities worldwide.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Microsoft to ensure a cohesive learning experience across Microsoft and non-Microsoft platforms.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform content development and measure impact.

  • Advocate for the developer audience, ensuring their needs and challenges are addressed in our learning solutions.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree) AND/OR 7+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, HR, customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management

  • OR Master's Degree or equivalent AND/OR 5+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, human resources (HR), customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years people management experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years experience as a developer, working with developers, or building learning experiences for developers.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree) AND 10+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, HR, customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management

  • OR Master's Degree or equivalent AND 8+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, human resources (HR), customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Microsoft Fundamentals, Coaching (e.g., International Coaching Federation), Project and/or Program Management Professional, archival, or a similar certificate.

  • Demonstrates commitment to career development and continuous or consistent learning through formal and informal efforts (e.g., change management, design thinking, management training, online courses).

  • Proven experience in content strategy and development for the developer audience.

  • Advanced understanding of the developer ecosystem and current industry trends.

  • Effecrtive communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Integrated Learning M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
