The Sales Director - Financial Services, Business Applications for Global Black Belt team manages an Americas focused team of high performing industry sales executive individuals. This role drives strategic account wins through high quality industry value selling work in complex deals. You will manage and guide your team to proactively partner with Account teams to identify uncovered value opportunities aligned with customer strategic priorities leveraging the Microsoft Dynamics ERP, Customer Sales (CRM), Customer Service, Contact Center and Low Code Power Platform solution portfolio.

You will coach and demonstrate exceptional levels of industry aligned point of views, business value insights and business cases in partnership with sales, technical, customer success, and external Partner teammates. You will enable your team to articulate Microsoft’s value proposition, competitive advantage, shape our future and emerging solutions value maps and value selling propositions by partnering with Industry, Product and Marketing groups for direct feedback, and drive scalable and repeatable best practices to enable the broader sales organization on value selling. You will support market making wins across your team by documenting the industry patterns, main value learnings and compelling KPIs and guiding your team in teammate collaboration for new and future growth sales motions.

You will drive thought leadership on Biz Apps in the respective industries both internally as well as in external events. You will model sales excellence in line with Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology to optimize sales processes and improve sales metrics. Responsibilities

  • Ensure strategic account wins through effective sales team management using our sales methodology, focused on our solution portfolio and industry business value, and securing the customer’s investment.

  • Coach your team on effective partnership with Field Sales colleagues, Account Executives, Digital Advisors, engineering, Partners, & Customer Success to engage CxOs/BDMs and position mainstream and future growth solutions.

  • Coach the GBB Sales Specialists to support Biz Apps industry point of view , delivery of compelling business value propositions while addressing our competitive advantage and value outcome for both mainstream and future growth capabilities.

  • Document industry patterns, value maps, main KPIs and areas of repeatable execution. Ensure documented learnings are landed and actively managed and shared broadly to scale.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of consultative sales or technology related sales or account management experience, with experience in Financial Services industries (including Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets)

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years of value sales or technology-related sales or account management experience in one of the following solution areas: ERP, CRM, Low Code, Customer Service

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of technology related sales or account management experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 8+ years of business value consulting sales or technology-related sales or account management experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years of business value consulting sales or technology-related sales or account management experience

  • 6+ years solution or services sales experience.

  • 3+ years people management experience

  • Leading, managing, and coaching sales teams to overperform against targets

  • Demonstrated sales and sales management experience in Enterprise sales

  • Deep understanding of:

  • Business solutions, ERP, CRM & Customer Service (including Contact Center) and how they translate into business impact

  • Business value selling methodologies, practices and technologies that drive sales prospecting and sales management in complex solution selling environments (e.g. Design Thinking, Business Value Engineering, Challenger sales etc.)

  • Understanding and experience selling into Financial Services industry

  • Commercial cloud offerings, ideally including Microsoft’s cloud platform as well as competitors and related ecosystems.

  • The security, regulatory and compliance needs of global customers

Solution Area Specialists M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,000 - $217,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $168,600 - $237,500 per year.
