Microsoft Corporation Sales Excellence Strategy (Business Program Manager) in Multiple Locations, United States

The Enablement & Operations (E&O) team’s purpose is to enable MCAPS to better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. How? We design, build, and manage the levers that accelerate commercial growth—including compensation, business performance and insights, planning, skilling, and tooling and engineering. This role is a Business Program Manager part of the Sales Planning & Operations team within the E&O organization.

Responsibilities

Role Strategy & Definition

  • Worldwide (WW) strategy, leadership and role ownership for Sales Excellence across Enterprise, Small Medium Corporate (SMC), and Global Partner Solutions (GPS) – partners with core role owners and field Sales Execution and Operations (SE&O) teams and stakeholders to define evolution roadmap for the role based on an understanding of best practices, business needs and requirements, and associated functions/capabilities.

  • Responsible for partnering with field sales excellence leaders to understand active priorities, needs to improve sales excellence activation in support of Rhythm of Business (RoB)/Innovation Acceleration Program (IAP) initiatives, pipeline health, sales execution, and sales transformation.

  • Leads establishment of improved blueprinting and recommendations/practices for sales excellence maturity, productivity, and assignment

  • Establishes and runs forums to raise overall organizational sales excellence capability and consistency.

  • Leads fiscal year (FY) planning activities for Sales Excellence role.

Sales Excellence Activation

  • Partners with Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Regional RoB/IAP activation leads and MCAPS Core Pipeline ROB/IAP Leads to drive RoB/IAP adoption across the sales excellence function in congruence with program strategy and expectation.

  • Develops and drives program mgmt. framework for MCAPS core team-sponsored landing activities and integration into RoB/IAP overall program roadmap

  • Works closely with the RoB/IAP Regional leads to effective land RoB defined by core teams across regions/operating units

  • Assesses consistency and application of Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology standards to RoB/IAP development and guides core teams to ensure alignment and collaboration

  • Identifies opportunities for improved landing / adjustments based on business performance analysis

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement o OR equivalent experience.

Desired Qualifications

Sales Excellence or Go-To-Market Experience in software, hardware, or related adjacent industry

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
