Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on the Microsoft Cloud. C+E’s Commerce Financial Services (CFS) team is responsible for Financial Platforms, Global Payments & Cash, Employee Financial Experiences, and C+E Governance, and also develops and operates financial commerce platforms and tools that perform all revenue management functions for our customers, partners, and staff worldwide.

The Microsoft Federal Services organization addresses a unique mission in support of our US Federal business and our external US Federal customers. Our team builds and manages the critical infrastructure and services that the Microsoft Federal businesses run on. As customer zero, we use and experience the services we sell to our Federal Customers and share best practices with them. Microsoft Federal Services is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team and to lead in the delivery of specific elements of our SAP S/4HANA capability. The Senior Software Engineer functions primarily as a Lead Functional SAP Analyst and is a key member of a project team that delivers new and/or enhanced capability to our internal Federal business users. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals that are motivated to grow their careers in SAP and Microsoft technologies such as AI, Power BI, and Azure cloud services.

The individual hired for this position will implement SAP system solutions for our Professional Services business processes, specifically Multi-Resource Scheduling (MRS), Commercial Project Management (CPM), Project Systems (PS), Cross Application Timesheet (CATS) and more. As part of this team, this role will require working knowledge of Revenue handling in SAP and the Financial Module (FI), Sales & Distribution (SD), and ABAP Debugging and/or development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.

  • Design the E2E solution, engaging with the various architecture teams, identifying all dependencies (internal and external)and considering established best practices.

  • Create functional specifications, perform ABAP Development (or debugging), testing and manage transport to production via Charm.

  • Work with the respective Project Management, End User, Development, Platformresources to ensure a complete and robust solution is delivered.

  • Support Domain Architects in the definition of solution and technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

R equired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years technical engineering experience with SAP Modules such as: Multi Resource Scheduling (MRS), Cross Application Time Sheets (CATS), Project Systems (PS), Commercial Project Management (CPM), and Sales Order Billing (SD).

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Cloud Screening statement: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

  • OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,

  • OR Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years technical engineering experience with SAP Modules such as: Multi Resource Scheduling (MRS), Cross Application Time Sheets (CATS), Project Systems (PS), Commercial Project Management (CPM), and Sales Order Billing (SD).

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
