Northern Motel, Inc Housekeeper in Munising, Michigan

Northern Motel, Inc. is looking to fill approximately 10 Housekeeper Positions at E9589 M-28, Munising, MI 49862 and at 420 M-28 East Munising, MI 49862 . These are temporary, full-time positions from 4/16/2025 to 10/25/2025. Phone: (906)202-0167.

Job Duties: Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.

Employer is offering at least 40 hours/week at $15.05/hr. Employer is offering up to 20 hours of overtime available per week, as needed but not guaranteed. Overtime is paid at a rate of $22.58/hr for working greater than 40 hours in any given week. Mon-Sun, 8:00AM - 6:00PM. Days and shifts may vary. Holiday, weekends, and evenings are required as needed. Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage, rate, or bonus to any worker in their sole discretion based on performance, skill, tenure, or experience. Employer is offering paid on the job training. 

Job Requirements: No education, experience, or training required.

Transportation: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Transportation to and from optional employer housing to the worksite is available at no cost to the worker. 

Housing: Optional employer housing is available to the worker at a cost of $350/month.

Tools, supplies and equipment: Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

Other Employment Guarantees: A single workweek will be used for computing wages due and workers will be paid every week. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees), incurred by the H-2B worker.
