UTAH LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION CO Landscape Laborer (Temporary) in MURRAY, Utah
Utah Landscape Construction Company located in Murray, UT 801-269-9111 is hiring 10 temporary, full time landscape laborers starting on 04/01/2025 and ending on 11/30/2025. DUTIES: Landscape installation and/or maintain grounds of properties using hand and/or power tools. Including but not limited to weekly lawn mowing, pruning, trimming. Planting of trees and shrubs. Installation of sod, topsoil, grading, install mulch, irrigation system. Sprinkler repair as needed. Able to lift 65 lbs. Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, push, pull, carry objects up to 65lbs (possible 2-person). All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and /or overtime. TERMS and CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: THE CURRENT RECRUITMENT IS INTENDED FOR U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY. Workers will be paid no less than $20.26/hr. Overtime hours will be paid at $30.39. Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. Overtime and weekends may be available depending on weather and work load. Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout Salt Lake, Davis, and Utah counties. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the company shop or may report directly to worksite if indicated by employer. Employer will then provide each crew with daily transportation among the worksite locations. No education required. Two (2) months experience in landscape. Employer will make all deductions required by law from each paycheck. Workers will be paid biweekly. Raises and/or bonuses at employer' discretion. Returning workers and workers with more experience may be paid higher wage rates. Opportunity for higher pay dependent upon experience. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment will be reimbursed, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts. Employer will provide, without charge or deposit, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
