Trinity Health Manager Farm Programming in Muskegon, Michigan

Description:

The Manager of Farm Programming is responsible for the overall programmatic success of the farm, including management of all staff. The Manager will create a welcoming environment that promotes community health, education, and engagement. The Manager will initiate and manage programs such as the collaborative Farm Share (CSA), produce-to-patients, and clinically integrated programs with health system partners as well as external community health programs.

Status: Full Time

What you will need:

  • B achelor's degree, preferred degrees in business administration, agriculture or public health preferred.

  • Minimum:2 years of experience with managing complex programs, including sustainable agriculture and public health.

  • Minimum: Strong leadership experience. Strong communication skills.Ability to manage budgets and schedules; preferred strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture.

  • Familiarity with windows based systems including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation.

What you will do:

  • Independently design and deliver year-round, meaningful education programming, including health-related cooking classes, summer camp, field trips, and workshops.

  • Design and deliver curricula and materials that employ current best practices and education standards for a wide range of students including youth, patients, community members, physicians, and health care professionals.

  • Design, create, and maintain spaces at McLaughlin Grows Urban Farm to promote engagement and education.

  • Provide leadership and support to experiential education community and support community partners in regional health improvement initiatives.

  • Creates and delivers training staff and interns to deliver programs.
