A Secretary/HW, under general supervision, performs a wide variety of responsible and complex confidential, secretarial and clerical support activities for a department. An employee in this class transcribes information recorded on electronic recording equipment; answers public inquiries concerning the operations of the department by giving out information based on considerable knowledge of departmental policies and procedures; may instruct and supervise lower level clerical personnel and performs other related duties as assigned.
