Description:

Saint Alphonsus in Nampa, Idaho has an Echo Sonographer opportunity available. We are also offering a sign-on bonus, generous relocation allowance, benefits starting on date of hire & much more!

The Echo Sonographer will provide high-quality, efficient cardiac ultrasound evaluations and services using state-of-the-art echo modalities. This is a 100-bed hospital that spans more than 240,000 square feet, features a complete diagnostic center, 6-suite surgical operating theatre, pre/post-operative holding and recovery rooms, 10-bed short stay observation unit, spacious and private patient rooms, and an 18-bed intensive care unit. Built with preventive and ambulatory health in mind, the facility accommodates the latest information technology, updated diagnostic and treatment technology, and an environment proved to reduce patient stress and recovery times.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree in science or Allied Health Field (Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technologist, etc.) or a minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Echo Sonographer and a HS diploma or equivalent.

  • Colleague must obtain and maintain an active, unrestricted Oregon license prior to providing any services in Oregon.

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk

Must be registered as one of the following:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

GOOD TO HAVE:

  • Experience in M-mode, 2D Imaging, Color Doppler, and/or Contrast Echoes

  • Working knowledge of Ultrasound Equipment, digital archiving, pediatric ultrasounds

  • Pediatric ultrasound training and experience
