Description

With this full-time position, you will get the opportunity to partner with various Robert Half clients to support projects and various other coverages. We are on the lookout for a detailed and knowledgeable Cost Accountant with an affinity for managing inventory accounts.
Responsibilities:
Implement cost accounting systems and perform thorough cost analyses.
Contribute to inventory accounting, including the guidance and review of inventory counts, creation of standard costs, investigation of variances, and analysis of inventory valuation.
Communicate with various department heads to devise budget plans, streamline workflows, and optimize inventory control strategies.
Ensure data accuracy by reconciling complex cost and inventory reports, correcting any data discrepancies.
Conduct regular audits to confirm the accuracy of inventory records and assess reserve levels.
Participate in monthly financial reviews, preparing necessary reports related to inventory and cost accounting.
Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy regarding cost and inventory management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
At least 4 years of experience in both cost and inventory accounting.
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency with larger ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics GP and MS Excel.
