With this full-time position, you will get the opportunity to partner with various Robert Half clients to support projects and various other coverages. We are on the lookout for a detailed and knowledgeable Cost Accountant with an affinity for managing inventory accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Implement cost accounting systems and perform thorough cost analyses.

• Contribute to inventory accounting, including the guidance and review of inventory counts, creation of standard costs, investigation of variances, and analysis of inventory valuation.

• Communicate with various department heads to devise budget plans, streamline workflows, and optimize inventory control strategies.

• Ensure data accuracy by reconciling complex cost and inventory reports, correcting any data discrepancies.

• Conduct regular audits to confirm the accuracy of inventory records and assess reserve levels.

• Participate in monthly financial reviews, preparing necessary reports related to inventory and cost accounting.

• Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy regarding cost and inventory management.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• At least 4 years of experience in both cost and inventory accounting.

• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Proficiency with larger ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics GP and MS Excel.
