Graybar Inventory Analyst in Naperville, Illinois

As an Inventory Analyst, you will evaluate, forecast, and manage inventory to meet customer, branch, district, and Corporate requirements within budgeted investment metrics.

In this role you will:

  • Review inventory levels and inventory performance; take steps to achieve budgeted investment metrics.

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate inventory to prevent service failures; utilize inventory and customer demand forecasting methods to ensure the correct breadth and depth of products are in stock.

  • Evaluate supplier performance, and make recommendations to Product Management based on history and performance.

  • Track materials shipped from zones; add to local inventory as sales warrant; utilize Stocking Decision Report.

  • Maintain New Items in Stock report, and communicate with the field and customers.

  • Eliminate excess or unwanted merchandise by working with suppliers and National Product Managers.

  • Support and participate in branch Stock Committees as required.

  • Review Sales Order Stock for timely disposition.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 1 year of inventory management experience required; 2+ years experience preferred

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Knowledge of basic inventory management principles

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel and SAP

  • Ability to create Business Objects reports

  • Communication skills

  • Mathematical and analytical skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work with all levels of branch and district employees

Compensation details: starting at $24.00/hr depending on experience
