Robert Half Patient Access Coordinator in Nashua, New Hampshire
Description
We are currently searching for a dedicated and compassionate Patient Access Coordinator to assist in providing excellent patient care services. The ideal candidate will manage patient admission details, schedule appointments, maintain hospital records, and provide outstanding patient support services.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate patient access to healthcare facilities and schedule appointments and procedures accordingly.
Validate patient information and insurance eligibility.
Coordinate with patient care teams to ensure seamless patient transition and admission processes.
Create, update, and maintain updated patient records.
Provide assistance in filling out paperwork for patient admissions and discharges.
Regularly liaise with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff regarding patient queries or concerns.
Educate patients and their families on procedures and processes involved in healthcare facilities.
Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
Handle patient complaints patiently and professionally.
Support in medical coding, billing, and collection processes.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role in the healthcare industry.
Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
Knowledge of healthcare procedures, medical terminologies and patient care protocols.
High school degree required, associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
Certification in healthcare administration will be an advantage.
Outstanding multitasking and organizational abilities.
