Saint-Gobain Mechanical Technician in NASHVILLE, Arkansas

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Mechanical Technicians perform all tasks necessary to test, repair, overhaul, maintain, construct, modify, or install equipment components onto mobile equipment and machinery including; laying out, setting up, or assembling work for themselves or others. Maintenance Technicians make verbal, written, and electronic reports of work activity, performing related work as required.

  • Maintain safety awareness while operating around mobile equipment

  • Maintain off-road heavy equipment fleet

  • Must have extensive knowledge of troubleshooting systems on large off-road trucks, dozers, track hoes, etc.

  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of schematics and equipment service manuals

  • Knowledge and use of welding machines & torches

  • Operation and care of fuel truck

  • Be willing to help cover for vacations, weekends, Holidays, shutdowns, on-call

  • Be willing to work holidays as scheduled

  • Complete SMAT audits & Safety training

  • May require working in adverse weather conditions

  • Ability to climb ladders and stair
