Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, balancing the general ledger (GL) and sub-ledger, analyzing financial entries, and researching discrepancies. This role requires strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting the organization's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.

  • Balance the general ledger and sub-ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to accounts receivable and financial entries.

  • Analyze financial data and entries to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed records and documentation to support financial transactions.

  • Utilize Excel to create and maintain reports, perform data analysis, and support financial decision-making.

  • Use Oracle financial systems to manage and record accounts receivable transactions.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts.

  • Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.

  • Experience with financial systems or similar ERP software.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to research and resolve discrepancies.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
