Description:
Hybrid role in Nashville TN. Our client is seeking an AWS Cloud Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, ETL job development, data visualization, database management, and web development frameworks. This role requires a strong background in scripting languages, data governance, and infrastructure management using Terraform.
We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60 - $70 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
AWS Services: Manage and optimize AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
Data Visualization: Utilize Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud services for data modeling, reporting, and visualization.
Database Management: Oversee database management for both relational and non-relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
Build and Deployment: Utilize build and deployment tools such as Git and Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.
Infrastructure Management: Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
Data Governance: Ensure data connection, integration, and governance across various platforms.
Migration and Upgrades: Lead data migration and upgrade projects to ensure seamless transitions.
Semantic Layer Design: Design and implement semantic layers and data virtualization solutions.
Data Integration: Manage data integration, mapping, and data migration tools.
Web Development: Develop and maintain web applications using Java and Java-based web frameworks.
Front-End Development: Utilize front-end build tools and frameworks such as Cypress or Angular CLI.
API Development: Use Swagger and Postman for API development and testing.
Containerization: Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker.
Experience Requirements:
AWS Services: Proficiency in AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
ETL Development: Experience with developing complex ETL jobs using PySpark.
Programming: Strong programming experience with Python.
SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL.
Database Engines: Experience working with various database engines such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
Build and Deployment Tools: Experience with build and deployment tools like Git and Jenkins.
Terraform: In-depth knowledge of Terraform.
Tableau: 5+ years of experience in Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud services.
Data Visualization: Experience in modeling, reporting, and data visualization.
Data Governance: 5+ years of experience in data governance and data modeling.
Semantic Layer Design: Experience in semantic layer design and implementation.
Data Virtualization: Knowledge of data virtualization and data federation.
Data Integration: Knowledge in data integration, mapping, and data migration tools.
SSRS, OLAP, ETL: Experience with SSRS, OLAP, and ETL processes.
Web Development: Knowledge of web development frameworks and experience with Java and Java-based web frameworks.
Front-End Development: 5+ years of experience with front-end build tools and frameworks such as Cypress or Angular CLI.
API Development: Experience with Swagger and Postman.
Containerization: Experience with Docker.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Cloud Computing: Experience in AWS cloud computing, services, and security.
Database Management: Expertise in database management for both relational and non-relational databases.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
