Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer or high-level Controls Technician near Nashville, TN.
Job Description
Our Engineering department is looking for an experienced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Programmer to join us on an urgent basis. As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for writing PLC programs for automation equipment. You will also be responsible for installing these programs along with the Technician. In addition to this, you should be testing the system efficiency as and when required. To be successful as a PLC Programmer, you should have a sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles. You should also have experience in finding faults in the system. Moreover, you should have an excellent ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Responsibilities
Writing PLC programs for automation equipment.
Installing these programs along with the Technician.
Testing the system efficiency as and when required.
Assisting the maintenance department with preventative maintenance duties.
Assisting the engineering team with process improvement.
Project implementation.
Essential Skills
PLC Programming Experience (3-5 years).
Ability to program from scratch.
Troubleshooting experience required (mechanical and electrical PLC troubleshooting).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting and programming skills.
Self-sufficient and highly visible to the floor and other departments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00
