Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary and Qualifications

The cancer conference coordinator is responsible for coordinating and documenting cancer conferences and tumor board meetings at their assigned facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor cancer conference mailbox to collect requests to present at cancer conference

  • Coordinate with Radiology, Pathology, Physicians and outside facilities to insure all patient records needed for conference are available

  • Support and collaboration with physician moderators, physician presenters and physician office staff • Prepare cancer conference documentation (agenda, minutes and attendance log)

  • Coordinate all audio visual needs for the cancer conference

  • Coordinate all catering needs for cancer conferences

  • Responsible for taking of minutes during conference

  • Prepares, completes, and maintains Commission on Cancer conference/tumor board documentation. (Minutes, Survey Application Records, cancer conference summaries, & tumor board grids)

  • Attend each cancer conference - either in-person or remotely

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • High School Graduate / GED

Mandatory:

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

  • During your employment with Sarah Cannon you will be routinely assigned training requirements. You are expected to complete any training assignments by the due date.

Requirements:

  • Course work in and/or two years’ experience using medical terminology, Anatomy& Physiology, disease processes and treatment methods

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Organizational Skills

  • High School Diploma - Required

  • Associates Degree - Preferred

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience - Required

  • 1-3 years of Healthcare experience - Preferred
