Job Description:

Seeking a motivated and experienced business development professional with over 20 years of aviation and defense industry experience in military aircraft sales. The candidate will be responsible for worldwide campaign development and leadership for sale of the OA-1 Sky Warden based on the missionized AT-802. The applicant should have operational knowledge of mission concepts of operations (CONOPS) to include Light Attack, Close Air Support, Counter-VEO, Counter Terrorism and others associated with this aircraft. The candidate should have a strong record of demonstrated international sales success (DCS and FMS) of military aircraft across the globe. The candidate should be well versed in customer budgets forensics and requirements shaping to generate marketing / engagement precision in target countries and regions

This role will leverage ISR sector resources as well as Corporate and Segment International country teams to generate go to market campaigns. The role will identify the appropriate in-country consultants to shape foreign defense budgets and generate requirements favorable to OA-1 proliferation. The role will also be responsible for gaining access to international stakeholders in the highest levels of government while leading diverse cross-functional cross-continental teams in engagement of these key stakeholders.

The candidate should already be familiar with the LHX common capture process (or industry equivalent) to include skills such as competitive intelligence, price-to-win, and development of win strategies with emphasis on experience with international offsets.

Essential Functions:

  • Secret clearance preferred, ability to travel 50%, relocation negotiable

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.

  • Prior relevant experience, working ideally within a Defense Industry

  • Aircraft sales experience. Experience as Regional Sales Executive and/or lead.

  • Aircraft missionization, modification, and sustainment experience

  • International marketing experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant weapons, avionics and sensors and the impact to the total aircraft system

  • Experience building partnerships with local industry to meet offset and industrial participation requirements.

  • Ability to travel regularly on a global basis required (50%)

  • Experience in a multi-cultural global business

  • Demonstrated success in fast-moving, multi-national change management situations

  • Demonstrated deep understanding of ITAR and related requirements

  • Strong experience and network within the defined regions of ISR portfolios

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • High energy, proactive, dynamic, and committed leader who instills passion in both internal and external audiences.

  • AFSOC, USSOCOM experience desired

  • Versed in executive level communications

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with regional customers and industry partners

  • Development of impactful messaging, white papers, briefing material for internal and external customers; effectively engaging those customers

  • Engage in requirements-based discussions, building & executing strategy & managing resources

  • Must have strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and exceptional communication and presentation skills (written and presentation) and an exquisite attention to detail

  • The ability to develop, foster and sustain extensive and demanding multiple stakeholders and long-term customer relationships and the gravitas to be able to influence and effectively operate at the most senior levels of a Global organization, as well as high-status Government, Defense and industry partner stakeholders.
