Director of Nursing (DON) Job Description:
Leading all aspects of nursing talent in the facility
Development and implementation of nursing policy and procedures - nothing cookie cutter
Responsible for developing the clinical team by hiring and retaining only those committed to a winning culture and outcome
Responsible to ensure the nursing staff has the tools and resources needed to provide an exceptional experience for those we care for daily
Ensure ongoing training is conducted as required and as needed to deliver excellence in all we do
Coach nursing employee conduct to ensure it is consistent with our mission of exceeding expressed and unexpressed wishes
Prevention of incidents at the facility by being closely involved in the ongoing training of our team
Assessing the health needs of each resident to ensure we develop plans of care to best meet their needs
Coach and develop clinical team to prevent re-hospitalization
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications/Requirements:
RN Licensed in TN
At least one year of DON or two years ADON experience
Ability to understand State and Federal Regulations
At least one year experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Ability to educate the staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to reduce hospitalization
Attention to detail
