Insight Global Fund Administration Manager in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Description

A client in the Nashville, TN area is looking for a Fund Administration Manager to join their team. This is a new role that will oversee a team of 5 (2 team leads and 3 offshore & international Fund Analysts). This person will be responsible for managing day to day operations of their team, but will also need to be able to step in, coach, and get hands on with tasks if team members need any assistance. This person should have a high-level understanding of Hedge Funds and Private Equity funds, since this group could oversee funds with 2000+ investors, so they will need to oversee allocations to partners, do capital calls, and offer expertise and knowledge on debits and credits, derivatives and funds, securities. It's also important that this resource is well-versed on complex fund structures, such as, master-feeders, hybrid entities, incentive fees, etc. and will need to have experience to oversee processing and corrections of management fee calculations, waterfall calculations and NAV calculations that team members are processing and completing. This team has a mix of experienced and newer resources, so this person will need to be able to set goals with their staff, hold annual performance reviews, provide training, feedback, and guidance to set their team members up for success in their roles.

Skills and Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant fund administration or fund accounting experience.

  • 3-4 years of Supervisor/Management/Team Lead experience.

  • Private Equity and Hedge Fund experience- partnership accounting.

  • Allocations to partners, Capital Calls, derivatives.

  • Experience with complex fund structures, master-feeders, hybrid entities, incentive fees)

  • Hands on experience with Management Fee calculations, Waterfall calculations, and NAV calculations.

  • Annual report audit oversight experience

  • Local to Nashville, TN or open to relocating to Nashville, TN - Mutual Fund Management experience

  • Fundamental tax reporting- dealing with K1s, 1099s null
