Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary
Senior Financial Controller for one of the following:
One extra-large ($250M+) ITG Vice Presidents or Chief Information Officer
Three or more medium/large (totaling $250M+) ITG Vice Presidents or Chief Information Officers
Financial Controller of Parallon, CSG or Healthtrust due to their complex structure and business unit.
Includes understanding the business lines operational strategies, financial implications, and financial resiliency opportunities. This position is responsible for all financial operations within assigned groups and works closely with ITG and business leaders. This position is very visible with ITG and Business Unit Executive leadership and must understand complex ITG financial implications and processes and present to leadership.
Serves as a mentor to lower level ITG Assistant Controllers and Financial Analysts.
Major Responsibilities:
• Administers the month end financial close process for VP or CIO departments or COID
• Understands the operations of the assigned ITG group(s)
• Develops relationships to interpret, influence, and promote strategic financial decisions
Finance:
• Reviews contracts, invoices, purchase requisitions, contract labor requests for proper HCA & GAAP treatment, department budget approval, sales tax treatment, project accounting, and total cost of ownership
• Allocates expenses to other ITG departments or HCA business units
• Prepares monthly journal entries including reclasses and accruals
• Prepares monthly financial reporting packages and monthly opex and capex projections
• Researches and analyzes monthly financial general ledger actuals, budget and material variances
• Facilitates monthly financial overview to ITG VP/CIO leadership team
• Creates annual opex and capex budget and presents to ITG leadership
Operations:
• Develops vendor relationships as needed to execute financial operations
• Researches to understand software and hardware companies, products, and solutions
• Develops an understanding of ITG culture, acronyms, and language to communicate with ITG leadership
• Navigates sociopolitical pressures within broader organization
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree Finance or Accounting required
• Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or auditing required
• Experience in Information Technology Required
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
