Job Title: Lead Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with the management team throughout the project, provide daily leadership in safe working practices across the field team, and use blueprints to execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning systems. This role involves installing electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety and distribution components, and fire alarm systems. The candidate will also connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components, bend and install conduit, and pull wire throughout. Additionally, the candidate will troubleshoot, inspect, install, and/or replace old wiring and insulated cables, and perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the management team throughout the project.

  • Provide daily leadership in safe working practices across the field team.

  • Use blueprints to execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.

  • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, circuit-breaker panels, fire alarm systems).

  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.

  • Bend and install conduit and pull wire throughout.

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, install, and/or replace old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits.

  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of commercial electrical experience.

  • Ability to read blueprints and layout work for the team.

  • Experience installing lighting, controls, and devices.

  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.

  • Journeyman certification.

  • Foreman experience.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Scheduling capabilities.

Work on new construction projects in the greater Nashville area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00
