Position Summary

We’re currently seeking a Lead IT Auditor to join our team in Bridgestone Internal Audit. We are looking for team players, eager to learn, and with a constructive and independent attitude.

The Lead IT Auditor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing risk-based IT assurance, compliance, and advisory projects covering Bridgestone Americas and Bridgestone Europe, Middle East, and Africa business units and functional areas (collectively “Bridgestone West” or “BWEST”) with a specific focus on global IT and information security. This role will utilize current audit processes and procedures in order to perform effective, independent and objective audits identifying risks, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and recommend corrective and preventative actions. In addition, the Lead IT Auditor will assist in testing IT application and general controls to evaluate the company’s compliance with Japan’s Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (JSOX). This role will report to the IT Audit Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Leads risk-based assurance, advisory, and compliance projects in accordance with regulatory and corporate standards, including planning, performing control walkthroughs, control testing, documenting, and reporting results

  • Proactively collaborates with stakeholders in IT, evaluating the costs and benefits of controls in mitigating risks

  • Identifies risks, controls, opportunities for improvement, root cause and develops recommendations for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements

  • Drafts clear and concise audit reports that address key observations and recommendations noted during the project

  • Leads discussions to present audit progress and results, and prepares necessary presentation materials

  • Reviews staff test papers and assists in overall audit project management

  • Supervises staff members, assisting and mentoring staff in developing and adjusting testing procedures.

  • Acts as the first point of contact for questions regarding audit and/or audit procedures and methodology

  • Develops relationships with key stakeholders to understand key initiatives within the organization

  • Assists in monitoring key risk indicators and emerging risks to identify potential edits or updates to the risk assessment/audit plan

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields

  • Minimum of 5+ years of practical work experience in IT risk and advisory services, IT audit, public accounting, or in the IT and information security areas of an enterprise

  • CISA, CISSP, CRISC or other similar certifications preferred

  • Deep understanding of IT General Controls, IT Application Controls, NIST Standards, ISO 27001, IIA Standards, cloud computing as well as familiarity with SOX/JSOX

  • Strong organizational/project management skills and knowledge of best practices in IT and information security and ability to learn industry standards

  • Strong English skills; bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred but not required

  • Position will require up to 10% travel and the ability to travel internationally
