Position Summary

We are seeking a Solution Architect like you to join our Computer Integrated Manufacturing team.

In this role, you will help drive and support Bridgestone’s technological transformation in line with Industry 4.0, focusing on Connected Factory and Connected Products by working in close collaboration across Manufacturing, Product Development, and QA under the new West organization to build partnerships and alignment, implement new application initiatives/projects, and improve user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and proposing innovative and cost-effective solutions that leverage the latest technologies, such as IoT, automation, analytics, and cloud computing, to optimize tire design, production, testing, and supply chain operations.

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, such as business analysts, engineers, developers, vendors, and executives, to ensure alignment and integration of the proposed solutions with the existing systems and infrastructure.

  • Overseeing the implementation, testing, and deployment of the solutions and providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Evaluating the performance and impact of the solutions, and recommending improvements or enhancements as needed.

  • Communicate and present to users/stakeholders at various levels within an organization and across the globe.

  • Provide subject matter expertise by being up to date on industry trends of IIoT, Industry 4.0, and Smart Manufacturing

  • Identify alternative architectural approaches and formulate recommendations based on economic analysis and business requirements.

  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously without disruption in deliverables.

  • Understanding the business requirements and challenges of the tire industry, such as market trends, customer demands, production processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide strong economic, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with 8 years of proven experience in solution architecture methodologies and frameworks.

  • A solid background and experience in the tire or rubber industry, with a thorough knowledge of the tire design, production and QA processes, challenges, and best practices.

  • A creative and analytical mindset, with the ability to design and implement solutions that meet business objectives and solve business problems.

  • Experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, technology architecture design, or systems integration.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with different audiences, such as business users, technical teams, and senior management.

  • Knowledgeable on tools and capabilities that dictate the integration of IT- OT: Databases, Cloud Infrastructure, Network Architecture, IT Systems Architecture, and DevOps Best Practices for Scaling Managed Services.

  • Applicable knowledge of defining, deploying, and maintaining ETL/ELT operations for large scale, multi-asset manufacturing plants

  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments with a grasp of Industry 4.0 principles.

  • Experience in designing applications for business process workflows or implementing IT projects.

  • Ability to work remotely and manage time/tasks independently.

  • Ability and desire to travel as required based on client requirements.
