The Senior Accountant furthers the company's goals through the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow, as well as the creation of budgets and forecasts, preparation of audits, and management of internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. You will need first-rate analytical skills to successfully fill this role. This full-time position comes with a strong compensation and benefits package, as well as the chance of growth.
What you get to do every day
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Comprehensive knowledge of Job Cost
Strong familiarity with VLOOKUP
Pivot Table experience
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Skilled at time management
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
