Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Senior Cloud Data Analyst in GCP, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting complex datasets, transforming raw data into valuable insights, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design efficient data models, and utilize GCP tools for data analysis and visualization.

Your responsibilities will include:

Data Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of structured and unstructured data using GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataprep.

  • Interpret data trends, patterns, and outliers to extract meaningful insights that contribute to business objectives.

Data Modeling:

  • Design and implement data models to support analytical reporting and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data structures and ensure efficient data processing on GCP.

Table and View Creation:

  • Create and maintain tables in databases and data warehouses. This involves defining the schema, specifying data types, and setting constraints.

  • Develop views to simplify complex queries, provide data abstraction, and improve data access for end-users and applications.

Data Integration:

  • Integrate data from various sources into cohesive tables and views that support reporting and analytics.

GCP Tool Utilization:

  • Utilize GCP services for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

  • Leverage GCP's advanced analytics and machine learning tools for predictive modeling and analysis.

  • Utilize BigQuery to execute fast, SQL-based queries on large datasets for real-time analytics and data warehousing

  • Leverage Cloud Storage to securely store, manage, and retrieve large volumes of raw and processed data in various formats.

Visualization and Reporting:

  • Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using GCP Data Studio or similar tools.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through rigorous testing and validation processes.

  • Collaborate with data governance teams to maintain data quality standards.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in GCP and other relevant technologies. Propose and implement improvements to enhance data analysis capabilities and efficiency

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is required

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience is required

  • GCP Certificate is preferred

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on GCP technologies.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale datasets.

  • Familiarity with GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataprep, and Data Studio.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
