Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • 3 years of professional job-related experience.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal), possess excellent analytical skills and work in a deadline driven environment.

  • Demonstrate ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Willing to travel frequently and work nights and weekends.

  • Shall meet the required standards defined by Northwestern State University

Job Concepts

  • Assists the Director of Alumni Affairs with the planning and execution of all alumni events including but not limited to reunions, chapter events, social gatherings, award ceremonies, and other seasonal events.

  • Work alongside the Director of Alumni Affairs and the NSU Alumni Association board members to ensure new initiatives are carried out and ongoing goals of the board are met.

  • Manage the NSU Alumni Association membership program by fulfilling membership packets and maintaining an inventory of promotional items.

  • Assist the Director of Alumni Affairs with the management of the Collins Family Alumni Pavilion.

  • Assist the Director of Alumni Affairs with all related University Advancement projects when necessary, including fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship activities targeted at alumni.

  • Establishing and managing alumni chapters

  • Increase net revenue and income for the NSU Alumni Association through fundraising, membership growth, and other income opportunities.
