United States Fleet Forces Command INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in National Maritime Intelligence Center, Maryland

Summary You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist at providing technical advice on a wide range of complex analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and/or products relative to an assigned area(s) on narcotics/counter-narcotics, illicit trafficking transnational organized crime and drug trafficking organizations. This position is located in Suitland, MD in the KENNEDY MARITIME ANALYSIS CENTER. Responsibilities You will leverage commercial maritime industry knowledge of shipping and business processes in adding value to the Counternarcotic Division and IC counter drug analytic products and services to CCMD, Navy, U.S. Law Enforcement/Allied customers. You will collect, evaluate, analyze, interpret, and integrate all-source intelligence and open-source information into top-level assessments related to narcotics, illicit trafficking, transnational organized crime, and drug trafficking organizations. You will prepare and produce initiative reports and briefs for executive level audience that demonstrate extensive knowledge and comprehensive analytical expertise. You will identify and/or provide for the resolution of intelligence gaps as well as prepare and satisfy collection requirements to resolve gaps. You will apply knowledge of advanced research methodologies and analytical techniques and/or collection management systems to complex work assignments. You will maintain liaison with personnel in law enforcement agencies, other intelligence agencies, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements and provide information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties such as: 1) Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data from multiple sources to assess the significance, patterns, tactics, and trends directly related to narcotics, illicit maritime trafficking, and drug trafficking organizations; 2) Providing tailored maritime intelligence, including illicit containerized cargo detection, monitoring, and targeting support to non-traditional customers including federal law enforcement, DoD counter drug forces, foreign military, and law enforcement agencies; 3) Planning, implementing, and maintaining databases for intelligence assignments required to process all-source material and the production of technical or operational intelligence in his/her assigned area(s); 4) Maintaining liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, law enforcement organizations, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements and provide information; and 5) Representing agency or organization positions at interagency and/or international meetings and conferences.
