ATI is seeking to hire a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to manage one or more Aerospace and Defense customer programs. This position will support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit, and be based in Natrona Heights, PA in the Pittsburgh area.

This role will be accountable to ensure manufacturing and commercial targets are met for key customers, and to proactively mitigate execution risks associated with those targets. The Project Leader will report directly to the Manager of Procurement for Vendor Services & Value Add.

Essential Functions

  • Lead one or more customer programs ensuring achievement of ongoing operational and financial targets.

  • Manage and influence across multiple functional areas (supply chain, procurement, operations, quality, commercial, etc.) and various third-party suppliers.

  • Act as a customer advocate within the value stream.

  • Assess and implement optimal value stream flow paths and support processes (continuous improvement).

  • Function as the lead representative in customer communications and interactions.

  • Identify internal and external program risk factors and collaborate across the business to implement risk mitigations.

  • Drive financial improvements through productivity, yield improvement, inventory management, and other cost reduction activities.

  • Manage capacity planning for third party suppliers as part of the value stream.

  • Execute appropriate supplier management processes (contracting, supplier performance management, etc).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3 years’ supply chain or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Technical field

  • Experience in metals industry

  • Proficient computer experience with the Microsoft Office Software Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc., and the ability to learn and utilize job related systems.

  • Proven managerial and leadership capabilities.

  • Project / program management experience

  • PMI / CPSM certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of metal mill product production

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required in dealing with both internal and external customers.

  • Highly technically competent, persuasive, and organized.
