Summary You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Material Branch of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities You will receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, reporting over, short, or damaged conditions. You will select materials and fill requisitions, work order, or requests for materials, tools, or other items. You will check lists showing stock identification changes to ensure that the proper items are selected and assembled for issue. You will complete and sign shipping and receiving reports. You will count types and quantities of items during inventories or location surveys and maintain tally listings during the count.
