U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief Supply Technician in Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington

Responsibilities You will apply standard regulations to perform technical support duties related to completing individual transactions; providing customer assistance; screening reference files and expedite outstanding requisitions. You will review stock record cards and requisitions as necessary, conducting data searches and distributing output files. You will establish, monitor and maintain the accountability programs for the command in an automated data processing system. You will ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for all data entered. You will update the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) and Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and other databases as required. You will perform causative research for supply and maintenance transaction errors and failures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing supply support work by utilizing supply regulations, policies, and procedures to perform supply technical duties such as processing and resolution of material and inventory action procedures. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: You may qualify for this position using education to substitute for specialized experience if you have successfully completed four years of education above high school level. OR You have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education. See Required Documents for additional information. Additional Information This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
