Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Naval Base Newport, Rhode Island

Summary You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the USW Platforms & Payload Integration Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14. This position is salary capped at GS-13 Step 10 (currently $151,870). See "Additional Information" section. Responsibilities You will provide leadership, oversight, planning, and execution of department facilities, equipment, property management, and material procurement programs. You will coordinate with Department Senior Leadership for the development of the Department's facility strategies and investments, including MILCON, MINCON and major facility upgrades, personnel moves, and facility repairs. You will lead the Department's efforts for the WFC Facilities Health Assessment. You will establish and execute work involving the planning and directing of comprehensive programs for the operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of Government facilities and equipment for Code 45. You will adapt or modify procedures and practices concerning property facilities, utility systems, buildings, equipment, plans, and grounds to meet the unique requirements of Code 45. You will plan for future facility requirements, developing the Department's Facilities Strategy and creating a facilities roadmap to outline strategic direction for office space, infrastructure capability, and new equipment installation. You will conduct analysis of the department's facility infrastructure; track deficiencies and maintain a prioritized action plan to resolve. You will oversee the correction of mechanical failures, ensure proper maintenance of the Code assigned facilities and equipment and to prevent the disruption of Code 45 operations. You will perform as project lead on a variety of department facility enhancement projects. You will lead the department's material management efforts, monitoring and resolving issues with applicable material procurement and property management related programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the NT-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating, analyzing, or administering the facilities, equipment, or property management program to ensure compliance with established facility management policies and procedures for an organization. For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector administering facilities, equipment, or property management support services to ensure compliance with established facility management policies and procedures for an organization. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14 grade levels. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $151,870.)
