Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Naval Base Newport, Rhode Island
Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-3 pay band is equivalent to GS-9 and GS-10; the NT-4 pay band is equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12. Responsibilities You will serve as the department subject matter expert on Operating Materials and Supplies (OMS) and General Equipment (GE). You will provide technical expertise and guidance in the receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of Operating Materials and Supplies and General Equipment. You will develop property Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for Naval Undersea Warfare Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). You will act as technical expert in GE Operations and Program Management, providing guidance and advice to other Branch Heads in the Property Management Division on resource management and tasking of GE Branch Personnel. You will provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventory reports to the Business Office and various Program Managers as required. You will implement, monitor, and resolve complex issues related to material procurement and property management programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications TO QUALIFY FOR NT-4: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating supply or industrial support by providing technical guidance for an organization. TO QUALIFY FOR NT-3: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level NT-02 (GS-5-8 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in the coordination of supply or industrial support for an organization. For the NT-03 A master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR An LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled; OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
