Naval Supply Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Naval Base, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Support Department, Logistics Division, IL Support Branch, Engineering Assessment Section of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will provide ILS Services in support of NSAA's Engineering Department Assessment process, including the comprehensive review and validation of all configuration records associated with the shipboard equipment being assessed. You will monitor the delivery of ILS products to ensure that all new equipment and/or systems technical documentation, configuration documentation and Onboard Repair Parts are turned over to the ship. You will conduct physical equipment validations to ensure accurate and complete information is submitted to the Ship's Configuration and Logistics Support Information System (SCLSIS) and Weapon Systems File, (WSF), Ship Equipment File (EQF). You will provide training and guidance to the Maintenance support Analysis Team (MSAT) for conducting ILO/PMR on available logistics tools to attain the best possible post availability logistics sustainment posture for new/existing equipment systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes performing work which requires applying a basic knowledge of logistics principles, concepts and methods that encompasses a limited range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) applicable to ship modernization, conversion, overhaul, refueling and repair. Specialized experience may include some or all of the following: 1) Review and validation of configuration records associated with shipboard equipment, including comparing ship equipment with onboarding technical data, ships automated systems, and other data bases; 2) Identifying material requirements, requisitioning, expediting, and receiving material essential to correct discrepancies, deficiencies, and restore equipment to full mission capability; 3) Assist with determining new equipment/systems requirements and coordinate the identification, acquisition, and delivery of ILS support for modernized, updated, or new equipment systems; and 4) Assist in conducting technical investigations and physical inventories to ensure ship databases are current and reflective of newly installed and existing ship equipment and systems.
