Commander, Navy Installations POLICE OFFICER (INSTRUCTOR) in Naval Base, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER (INSTRUCTOR) in the FORCE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT of NS NORFOLK SECURITY DETACHMENT. Responsibilities You will develop law enforcement training programs, schedules, personnel actions, and operating plans for a police force. You will conduct field inspection of weapons assigned to law enforcement personnel. You will report performance, progress, or training needs of law enforcement employees to supervisor. You will explain rules, regulations, or precedents relating to routine police operations. You will coordinate with other federal law enforcement instructors to develop different approaches and methods of instruction. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Preparing course materials in the field of law enforcement; 2) Providing up-to-date material and information to students; 3) Conducting lectures, discussions, conferences, and demonstrations on law enforcement, investigative techniques, procedures, and practical applications; 4) Identifying training needs and requirements of each law enforcement student, ensuring training is scheduled and completed.
