Office of Naval Research MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in Naval Research Laboratory, District Of Columbia

Responsibilities You will analyze and report projected unexpended balances and formulate approaches to problems in contractual and procurement areas. You will recommend the reallocation of resources and funding among related jobs to ensure necessary professional labor and funding are available to complete the research. You will communicate with NRL Budget, Supply, and Contract Specialist, Branch and Section Heads and sponsoring organizations regarding the execution of approved budgets. You will assist the Center Director in carrying out functions and tasks in the Branch. You will devise, design, or suggest new or improved forms, reports and methods for record keeping and reporting. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NO-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience shows the ability to 1) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Planning and organizing work and; 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing.
