Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist (WIL) in the Work integration Branch (C301.22), Operations Department (C300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will ensure sequencing and scheduling of all work in support of the project team's strategy. You will determine appropriate levels of work integration, work breakdown structure and filter for screening non-shipyard work for inclusion of ship project schedules. You will conduct risk assessments and give recommendations for risk mitigation strategies. You will be responsible to make decisions, recommendations and official commitments involving work integration matters. You will represent project interest in conferences, meetings and personal contacts dealing with non-shipyard work. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with in-depth knowledge of skilled trades operations, processes and shop work associated with the shipbuilding/repair industry; Experience sequencing, integrating, directing and managing the accomplishment of technical and skilled trades operations; Experience and broad knowledge in ship repair project planning, scheduling and executing strategy; Experience of naval shipyard operations, production and management techniques and concepts, and the location, capacity, capability, and-availability of facilities and services of the naval shipyard industrial complex; Experience working with shipboard systems, interrelationships between ship system and their operating requirements to be able to resolve conflicts between maintenance providers.
