Naval Supply Systems Command SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Naval Support Activity, Pennsylvania

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIAIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT within the Maritime Industrial Support division. Responsibilities You will assist in efforts regarding staffing, motivation, and training to develop all employees, and ensure equitable consideration for training opportunities and nominations for teams and committees. You will exercise significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, as well as advising management officials of higher rank. You will plan, assign, and evaluate work performed by subordinates, including setting and adjusting priorities and considering the difficulty and capabilities of each employee. You will analyze directives from higher echelons concerning key issues involving all phases of weapon systems integrated logistics support and develop recommendations as they relate to the public/private shipyards and organic depot support. You will oversee the assessment and development of the material budget for the public/private shipyards and organic depot support to ensure that requirements are delineated to NAVSUP WSS commodity code owners for budgetary submissions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Logistics Management Specialist work directly related to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) concepts, policies, procedures and techniques and their application to Weapons System acquisition, management and sustainment. I have experience performing the duties of a supervisor to include work prioritization, employee advisement/guidance, planning, assigning and assessing work performed by subordinates. I am able to communicate extremely well both orally and in writing. Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Applying a mastery knowledge of management principles and techniques, budget and personnel policies and procedures, supervisory and managerial skills; 2) Overseeing and utilizing supply chain management processes, procedures, and tools to enhance the availability of materials for the accomplishment of maintenance and modernization; 3) Managing life cycle logistics support planning, acquisition policy, supportability analysis, and program management; 4) Utilizing a knowledge of the material and resource budget process to consolidate data from multiple sources into sound budget requirements; 5) Analyzing reports and trends in order to resolve unique/complex problems; and 6) Providing planning and policy recommendations to senior leadership.
