Position Summary/Description:

The University of North Carolina’s ( UNC ) Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research ( OVCR ) oversees, develops, and supports UNC’s $1 billion research enterprise. It sets strategic priorities for research, manages proposals and awards, provides research infrastructure, identifies funding opportunities, develops research teams and partnerships, and oversees regulatory compliance, ethics, and conflict of interest management. Within OVCR , the Office of Clinical Trials ensures clinical trials comply with federal, state, and institutional requirements.

The Office of Clinical Trials is seeking an Applications Analyst to support a growing portfolio of clinical research applications, including REDCap, OnCore, and Veeva SiteVault and eConsent. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Research Informatics, the Applications Analyst will assist end users; maintain system configurations; evaluate upgrades and product enhancements; and collaborate with technical support, key stakeholders, and organizational leadership.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience with a CTMS , EDC , or eReg system in a university, healthcare, or clinical research setting, as well as knowledge of the clinical trial industry and an understanding of information technology.

The preferred candidate will also have prior software implementation experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with shifting priorities, schedules, and changing management objectives

  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and prioritization skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
