Position Summary/Description:

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station in Chapel Hill, NC. This position manages the daily operations of data management workflow within the alumni/donor database, currently referred to as DAVIE . This includes overseeing the work of the data management team. This position is the in-house expert on DAVIE including how and where data is stored in the database, and how to retrieve the data out of Davie to be provided university schools and units across campus as part of OneCarolina as well as Carolina Alumni. This position analyzes the workflow and processes of the alumni development database to determine where improvements are needed and then works with stakeholders, process owners and customers to manage changes as needed, either on a small scale or large projects. This position prepares and delivers presentations regarding Davie, including data held within, or proper use of the system.

Education and Experience:

Significant experience working with constituent records, including alumni, friends, parents and organizations, and with the current business processes and systems related to alumni records, databases, and alumni relations. Demonstrated experience leading projects at a significant level with multiple stakeholders.

The person in this position must have strong leadership experience and the ability to work collaboratively as a team. Must be able provide a high level of professionalism, customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple, high-level tasks at once. Excellent oral and written communication skills; very good interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. Ability to develop, understand, and follow policies and procedures. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, with a working knowledge of complex database software.
