JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lead Engineer - Electrical - 870811 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Engineer - Electrical Summary: In this role the Electrical Engineer will provide leadership and design, development, optimization, and problem solving for personal care manufacturing and converting, focusing on implementation of state-of-the art hardware, software, and automation technologies. The incumbent reports to the Sr. R&E Manager for the Child Care develop and commercialization team; and receives direction in the form of general project objectives, safety obligations, and performance expectations. Following our H-Model, the incumbent will also have a technical coaching relationship with the Child Care Brand Technical Leader to ensure standardized solutions are implemented across our Child Care manufacturing assets in KCNA. Responsibilities: * Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to \$10 million from conception through commercialization. * Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of personal care converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives. * Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management. * Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies, and guidelines. Provide for the safety and wellbeing of operators, maintenance, and other personnel. * Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause. Assist in the development of others within the area of expertise. * Support projects that utilize robots while developing standards for the manufacturers, models, and types best suited for each application. * Support projects utilizing automation technology while adhering to KC design standards for the manufacturers, models, and types best suited for each application. Influence: * This role will interact with a variety of staff and plant team members on a weekly basis such as: Project and Supply Chain Leads for defining what is required to commercialize innovation, Engineering Leads for project execution, Process Engineers controlling and analyzing process capability, Product and Material Developers for optimizing learning plans, Quality team members for assuring product quality, and Electrical Peers for supporting and implementing technology. Working in a cross-functional team setting is a must with the ability to drive decisions specifically on Child Care projects for the Pull-Ups and Goodnites brands in KCNA.
