JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lead Research Scientist-Microbiology - 875874 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Research Scientist-Microbiology Job Description In this role, you will: * Report to a Life Sciences Sr. Manager within our Global Research and Development organization. * Conduct basic and applied research in microbiology and collaborate with scientists, marketing, sales, legal, and other subject matter experts to support the identification and evaluation of new technologies for healthy skin. * Leverage novel test methods to support global claim substantiation. * Translate technical findings into formats accessible to various audiences and can be based at our Neenah, WI or Roswell, GA Innovation Centers. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications: * Conduct bench and/or clinical microbiology research with scientific rigor to advance global or regional projects towards commercialization. * Lead research projects and assess issues independently or with the guidance from a technical leader or mentor. * Contribute as a team member on research projects related to skin, human microbiome, infection control, and other Life Sciences areas. * Collaborate effectively with internal and/or external subject matter experts to deliver meaningful technologies for skin health that enable KCs business aspirations. * Translate fundamental science and technology through literature research, robust in vitro screening, and/or clinical studies. * Communicate findings in written and oral formats that are accessible and compelling to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Maintain laboratory records to document findings and support the procurement of intellectual property for discoveries. * Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary cross-functional teams. * Seek to expand and grow skills and capabilities through new projects, training, attending scientific conferences, and publishing externally. Salary Range: \$85,550 - 60% = \$105,600 USD #LI-Onsite Primary Location Neenah - West R&E Office Additional Locations Roswell Building 400 Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Time Type Full time ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications: * PhD in Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Bacteriology, Microbial Physiology, Molecular Biology, or related field with 1+ years of industry experience. * Master\'s degree in microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Bacteriology, Microbial Physiology, Molecular Biology, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience. * Expertise in culturing, propagating, enumerating, and analyzing microorganisms inclu ing fungi, bacteria, and/or viruses. * Evidence of strong laboratory skills including analyzing microbial growth and inhibition in culture. * Evidence of developing and leveraging novel methods for research, attaining protocol standardization, attention to detail and performing robust data analysis to deliver results. * Able to maintain a safe environment appropriate for biological laboratory (BSL-2). * Proven record of successful results working in multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams * Willing to travel up to 10%. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience leveraging high-throughput sequencing or other molecular techniques. * Experience with nucleic acid isolation, (qRT-PCR), and immunological assays for quantifying biological analytes. * Computer coding experience (R, Python, JMP) for analysis of large data sets (bioinformatics), familiarity with biostatistical concepts. * Experience with epithelial cell (skin) biology, primary cell culture techniques including media development, co-cultures, and in vitro tissue constructs. * Knowledge/expertise regarding disposable consumer products * Ability to speak multiple languages is highly valued. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: https://ars2.equest.com/?response_id=4ccbc379b7f2c8949a550a6ff97fc731 Other: Applicants ONLY to apply via URL link provided!
