Product Manager - Cab & Chassis R28493

The Product Manager will manage all aspects of the product family in which the job responsibilities relate to Pierce’s Custom Chassis Products. The role will support the development and execute strategic plans related to the applicable product family. The Product Manager will also manage and develop Product Management team members.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with company goals and market demands, focusing on Pierce's custom chassis product lines.

  • Develop and maintain specifications, proposals, pricing, and other technical data pertaining to the sales of the product family.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities related to chassis products in the firefighting and emergency vehicle industry.

  • Lead the development of new chassis products, features, and enhancements, collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and quality assurance.

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring product roadmap alignment with customer requirements and technological advancements.

  • Ensure all chassis products meet regulatory standards and certifications, such as NFPA, UL, DOT, FMVSS, SAE and FM Global, by working closely with regulatory agencies and certification bodies.

  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and translate insights into actionable product requirements and improvements.

  • Foster collaboration across departments including sales, marketing, engineering, operations, and customer support to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.

  • Develop and manage budgets for product development, resource allocation, and other related activities, optimizing cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Provide training and support to internal teams, dealers, and customers on the features, functionality, and installation of electrical products.

  • Continuously evaluate product performance, customer satisfaction, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for product enhancements and innovation.

  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to project milestones and objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing/Sales, Engineering or related field.

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience

  • Management experience

  • Ability to travel (10-15%)

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior background in vocational truck markets

  • Project management experience
