U.S. Air Force - Agency Wide INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in Nellis AFB, Nevada

The primary purpose of this position is: Serve as the United States Air Force Warfare Center's (USAFWC) technical director for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); to advise USAFWC leadership, staff, and subordinate units on full integration of ISR capability in support of Air Force- (AF) wide operational test and evaluation (OT&E), tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) development. Responsibilities 1. As Technical Director for ISR, plans, coordinates, and recommends courses of action for the full integration of Intelligence support and Surveillance and Reconnaissance operations capability into USAFWC missions of AF-wide OT&E, TTP development, and advanced training. 2. Oversees execution of distributed global integrated ISR and air operations from geographically separated command and control nodes and incorporates exercise lessons learned into cutting edge concepts of ISR and operational employment. 3. Represents the USAFWC with a variety of national IC agencies, Unified and MAJCOM, AF, Joint, DoD, and industry organizations. 4. As Deputy Director for Intelligence (A2), organizes and oversees the plans and operations of the USAFWC/A2 Directorate. Formulates detailed plans and command objectives, policies, priorities, and procedures to ensure implementation and institutionalization of the commander's priorities relative to the staff and the Operations Directorate. 5. As Deputy Director for Operations (A3), organizes and oversees the plans and operations of the USAFWC/A3 Directorate. Formulates detailed plans and command objectives, policies, priorities, and procedures to ensure implementation and institutionalization of the commander's priorities relative to the staff and the Operations Directorate. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a GG-15 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Expert" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-15 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. * Salary ranges includes local market supplements In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Expert knowledge of a wide range of advanced multi-disciplinary intelligence concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, and techniques to apply experimental theories and new developments to problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods, and to plan and execute specialized programs of marked difficulty, responsibility, and significance. Expert knowledge of air, space, cyberspace, and Information Operations warfighting capabilities, as well as the electromagnetic spectrum as warfighting terrain, sufficient to apply new analytical developments, methodologies, and research findings to broad studies of an unprecedented nature. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Mastery knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, mission/functions, inter-relationships, and operations. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of USAF operational test and evaluation as well as roles and missions to develop and validate new concepts relative to advanced training of personnel and tactics, techniques, and procedures of ISR systems and USAF operations. 3. Extensive experience in and comprehensive knowledge of intelligence and operational activities in USAF flying squadrons, flying wings, and/or air operations centers and across the full spectrum of intelligence disciplines and operational domains. 4. Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate highly visible and complex tasks, to create a collaborative environment for evaluation, deconfliction, and fusion of requirements, and to develop and advocate a shared vision and purpose among various entities. 5. Mastery of oral and written communications skills, possessing the ability to interact with the most senior members internal and external to the AF, and for establishing and maintaining effective relationships. 6. Ability to speak authoritatively negotiating complex issues, resolving conflicts based on mature judgment and experience, and to be recognized as a subject matter expert with professional standing for the integration of ISR and with air, space, and cyberspace operations. OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS PERTAINING TO THIS POSITION: Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, and/or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
