We are seeking aQuality Technicianto supportourCompanion Animal brand-Neosho, MO.The primary goal of this role is to, Set the standard of Quality and Exceed it! Our technician will check, test and inspect the entire Production process, identify any defects and defaults, verify the proper execution of procedures and processes to ensure the products always meet the required quality levels. This closeness to our core processes, supports optimization and continuous improvement by identifying and recommending solutions.

About The Role:Driving Quality Excellence

Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming raw materials and ingredients, assess documentation and proper barcoding to achieve regulatory compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Food Defense standards of manufactured products and feed ingredients
• Quarantine and/or release products in line procedures

Quality Control throughout the production process:

• Ensure compliance throughout the production process in accordance with the Nutreco, ISO, UFAS, QS and other relevant guidelines to meet the required quality standards, while minimizing costs

Quality control of finished products:

• Secure samples, manage storage and registration of finished products for inspection and analysis
• Record Finished Goods specifications in the ERP system, ensuring the compliance of Nutreco and customer expectations

Optimization / Continuous improvement:

• Manage and monitor quality KPIs, statistical quality data and analysis data to detect areas of improvement; make recommendations
• Investigate problems and offer corrective actions

Quality Systems / Certificates and Audits:

• Support routine Production audits and maintain governance to internal, ISO and customer standards. Review and maintain Quality and Production documentation
• Investigate and report customer complaints, faults and other non-compliance issues

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Animal Science,Food science/Food safety, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Animal Nutrition or a science related field
• 6 months-2 years of Quality and Safety Standards experience(Internships count!)
• Knowledgeable of HACCP, Food Safety and Food Defense standards
• NIR coursework is valuable
• Experienced user of MS suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with internal stakeholders and external customers
