Job Title: Welder
Job Description
As a Welder, you will be responsible for custom welding conveyor systems using Mig Welding techniques. Starting with a blueprint, you will gather necessary materials, tac weld the parts together, then perform the final mig welding. After welding, you will grind the welded parts to a smooth finish.
Responsibilities
Custom weld conveyor systems using Mig Welding.
Read and interpret blueprints to gather necessary materials.
Tac weld parts together based on blueprints.
Perform mig welding on assembled parts.
Grind welded parts to achieve a smooth finish.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Mig Welding.
Experience in fabricating and welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
2-5 years of recent experience in a job shop environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Detail-oriented with strong technical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment
The fabrication shop manufactures material handling systems and equipment, with a significant focus on airport conveyor systems. The work shift is from 6:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 6:30am to 10:30am on Friday. Overtime may be required on Fridays from 10:30am to 2:30pm and Saturdays from 6:30am to 12:00pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00
