Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Maintenance Technicians/Automation Technicians are responsible for assessing mechanical, technical, and electrical problems in all areas of the facility. This position requires a highly motivated, self-directed multi-crafted worker that can work autonomously in a fast-paced production environment. The individual will provide the highest level of in-house support and must be successful at working as part of a team. They will partner with internal and external resources to be successful. Must follow established safety and GMP’s and environmental standards, and adhere to all plant technical standards and company compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, including FDA, EPA, and SQF Certifications.

Hard Skills

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining highly automated production equipment including PLCs, HMIs, Ladder Logic, and Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems

  • Identifying problem root cause using precision measuring and electrical testing instrumentation

  • Providing maintenance break/fix support for automation related issues

  • Troubleshooting and re-wiring high-speed or highly automated equipment such as AC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules

  • Utilizing SAP to document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance

  • Redlining all automation-related programs and documentation

Soft Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds

  • High-level technical support for complex mechanical, automation, and electrical issues

  • Continually seeking out best practices and sharing within the organization

  • Following safety and GMP procedures and practices

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

This is a fully on-site position in New Berlin, New York.
