Robert Half has engaged on a search for a Warehouse Manager with a client based out of St. Paul, MN. The Warehouse Manager will supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff and will oversee warehouse operations across multiple locations. This role will be instrumental in driving operational strategy and play a key role in managing, mentoring, and developing the warehouse team. Ideal candidate brings 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a distribution, construction, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, instilling a collaborative work environment.

• Manage daily warehouse operations across multiple locations, working towards accurate and efficient order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving.

• Contribute to the planning and setup of new warehouse locations as needed.

• Develop and manage staff schedules to optimize operational efficiency.

• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to streamline warehouse processes.

• Coordinate logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments.

• Regularly conduct inventory audits, maintain accurate records, and reconcile any discrepancies.

• Implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce shrinkage.

• Manage warehouse racking systems and utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for optimal storage and retrieval of goods.

• Conduct regular safety training and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.

• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve warehouse performance.

• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement staff training programs.

• Manage warehouse staff schedules to ensure optimal productivity.

• Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management within the distribution, construction, or manufacturing industry.

• Experience in logistics and distribution, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving.

• Proficiency in warehouse management or distribution management software and systems required, experience with Gartman a plus.

• Familiarity with RF Scanners and RF Systems preferred.

• Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures, including cycle counts.

• Proven experience in KPI reporting and employee performance management.

• Proven track record of streamlining processes, and creating SOPs to optimize operations.

• Excellent leadership and team building abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage personnel and collaborate with other departments.

• Flexibility to travel between warehouse locations as needed.
