Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

The Production Technician I is responsible for the inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished drug product. The Production Technician will execute these tasks manually or by operating equipment that performs these functions. Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of drug product in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs

  • Execute manual labeling and packaging functions

  • Set up, maintain, and operate various computerized and manual inspection/labeling/packaging equipment

  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly cleaning of the Production areas per internal SOPs

  • Maintain the quality of machine output and product integrity

  • Ensure a clean and organized production environment

  • Complete and maintain applicable logbook and batch record paperwork abiding by Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)

  • Escalate both machine and manual deviations to the area supervisor or designee

  • Provide peer training on all Production-related procedures as required

  • Identify, segregate, and report defective product to management, assuming accountability of final product

  • Perform other related duties as determined by management personnel

Essential Skills

  • Minimum Two (2) years cGMP manufacturing experience

  • Production packaging

  • Labeling

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Experience working in a 503b Facility

  • Some college and/or college degree preferred

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in North Brunswick, New Jersey. The job involves working the first shift, with 8-hour shifts between 6am and 4pm. The noise level of the job environment is moderate, and hearing protection is provided and may be required at times. The job involves frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting, with lifting requirements between 5 – 40 pounds. Employees may be required to stand continually throughout the shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
